About
More than a dance team.
A Toronto-based competitive dance company built on discipline, artistry, and ambition.

DB Dance Company is more than just a dance team. We see dance as a discipline for personal development — a craft that demands focus, courage, and consistency, and rewards dancers with a way of moving through the world that extends far beyond the studio.
Our founder Devonte Black built the company around a simple belief: the dancers we train should leave the studio as leaders, risk-takers, and artists. Every class, rehearsal, and performance is designed to push harder, dream bigger, and train smarter.
We compete, we tour conventions, and we perform — but the work begins long before the stage. It begins in the way our dancers warm up, listen, support each other, and show up for the next rep.
Based at 250 Eglinton Avenue West in Toronto, DB Dance Company is open to dancers of all levels, backgrounds, and styles, ages 6 and up.

What we build
Leaders
We expect our dancers to set the tone — in the studio, on stage, and at school.
Risk-takers
Growth lives at the edge. We give dancers the technique and the courage to keep stepping past it.
Artists
Technique without artistry is just a trick. We train both, in equal measure.
